Carver's Nordic Center - Almost Open...

Craig recently purchased a Snowcat for his mountain cabin and is working on builing a Nordic Center on his property for offseason conditioning of the Pickled Prostates...

From Craig...

Since there was some level of incredulity expressed on today’s run about our snowcat – here are some pictures. Our “trail tenderizer” is being delivered tomorrow, so I hope to have the Nordic center open for business this weekend. Very small, but choice terrain. You’re all welcome to come on by.

According to Craig...

It’s small, but it works. We managed to shoehorn me, Monica and Lulu into it, and all our gear on the back, and tracked our way in to the cabin for a long weekend. You can see the cat in limited action at Monica hasn’t got the hang of our new video camera yet, so we don’t really have any great pictures of me driving into the unplowed snow. But it seems to handle just about anything.

I even skated back and forth on the track it created. It’s kind of rough, so next up will be the investigation into getting a groomer.
