Screamin' Snowman

So, Sharon and I had a good race up at the Copper Mountain Gobbler Chase. It was a 5K snowshoe race in hip deep loose snow at 10,000 feet. Talk about tough! But it was fun. The bad part was trying to get home. We ran into traffic trying to get back across the divide -- something about the tunnel being closed down to let hazardous materials trucks through since Loveland Pass was closed. It took us TWO AND A HALF HOURS to get from the resort to the other side of the Eisenhower. Ugh.

The good news is the next snowshoe race is on this side -- at Eldora. At the Screamin' Snowman you can do either a 5K or a 10K. It's a tough course too. Here's the link: http://www.racingunderground.com/sssnowman.html

Come out and give it a try!

Congrats, Alicia!!! You've inspired me to pull my shoeshoes out of the mounds of dust that have piled on them in my garage.
