Any of you folks want to try a tri?

I'll probably do a half dozen local races this summer and if any of you all are interested in coming out for one, I'd be happy to share a ride or show you the ropes if you've never done one. I'm also thinking about some swim-run races -- there are series at Boulder rez and Cherry Creek rez.

I still haven't signed up for everything that I'm thinking about, but here are a few:

June 7 -- Highlands Ranch Community Association Tune-up sprint tri. This is a 500 yard pool swim, 13 mile bike and 5K
June 28 -- Loveland Lake to Lake. 1500m swim, 30 mile bike, 10K run. Tough course
July 20 -- Boulder Peak (sold out) 1500m swim, 26 mile bike, 10K run.
August 16 -- Rattlesnake Olympic distance. 1500m swim, 25 mile bike, 10K run. It's at Aurora rez. They also have a sprint on Sunday. Nice thing about the Rattlesnake races if you're new to open water swimming is they use a time trial swim start (not a mass start)

Post or send me an e-mail if you're interested -- Alicia

I have a friend, Michelle Golla, who is training for a 1/2 ironman this fall. I think she has done a sprint tri or two. While not of your talent level, she is a very good athlete with lots of upside. I told her about your offer and have pased along your email. I encouraged her to contact you. She is also looking for a training partner as well.
